Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 31, 2026
This policy covers the macOS applications published by Nanotalons, LLC — currently tinyping, tinymon and tinydeck — and this website, nanotalons.com.
The short version
We do not collect any data. Nanotalons apps have no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. We do not receive, store or sell information about you or about how you use the apps.
tinyping
tinyping measures the round-trip time to a host that you choose. To do that, it sends network
probes to that host — the same thing the ping command does — and displays the
results on your screen.
- The host you enter and your display preferences are stored locally on your Mac in the app's own preferences, and are never transmitted to Nanotalons.
- Latency measurements are kept in memory for the graph and are not written to any server.
- Apart from update checks, the only network destination the app contacts is the host you type in. Nanotalons operates no servers that the app talks to.
- The app checks nanotalons.com for updates. That request tells our host only what any web request does — your IP address and the app version you are running.
tinymon
tinymon reads performance information about your own Mac — such as processor load, per-core activity, memory usage and built-in system sensors — and draws it on screen.
- All readings are taken locally and displayed locally. They are not transmitted to Nanotalons or to any third party.
- Your display preferences and window layout are stored locally on your Mac in the app's own preferences.
- The app checks nanotalons.com for updates. That request tells our host only what any web request does — your IP address and the app version you are running.
tinydeck
tinydeck runs actions you have configured yourself — shell commands, AppleScript, keystrokes, applications and URLs. It has no cloud component of its own.
- Your buttons, their labels, their actions and your window layout are stored locally on your Mac and are never transmitted to Nanotalons.
- The optional AI features are bring-your-own-key. If you enter an API key, it is stored in your macOS Keychain, and the text you send — your description of the button, the script, and any error output you ask about — is sent directly from your Mac to the provider you chose (such as OpenAI or Anthropic) under that provider's own privacy policy. Nanotalons operates no servers in that path and never sees your key or your prompts.
- Actions you configure run with your own user privileges and may contact whatever hosts your scripts contact. That traffic is yours, not ours.
- The app checks nanotalons.com for updates. That request tells our host only what any web request does — your IP address and the app version you are running.
This website
nanotalons.com is a static website. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Our hosting provider processes standard web server request logs (such as IP address, timestamp and requested page) for security and reliability purposes; we do not use those logs to build profiles of visitors.
Email you send us
If you email support, we receive your message and your email address, and we use them only to answer you. We do not add you to a mailing list.
Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
Third parties
tinyping, tinymon and tinydeck are downloaded directly from this site and are free — there is nothing to buy and no account to create. Each app has a tip jar in its menu; choosing it opens a Stripe payment page in your web browser. Stripe handles your payment details under its own privacy policy, not this one. We never see your card number, and the apps themselves send nothing to Stripe. mTally is distributed through the App Store, where Apple handles purchases under Apple's privacy policy.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
